Let’s be honest, New Year’s Eve can be a bit overwhelming. Love it or hate it, it’s a pretty big deal and it comes with a lot of pressure. Between deciding on whether to stay in, where to go and finding a babysitter to look after the kids, it can all be a bit much. On the flip side it can also turn out to be an amazing evening and the most challenging part is always, what to wear?
Putting together an outfit is not always easy, but I hope these two New Year’s Eve looks from Poetry will give you a little bit of inspiration on what to wear this year.
Wide Leg Pants and Matching Jacket
Now, I know that this is not your conventional New Year’s Eve look. Most people would typically prefer wearing a black sparkly little number, but maybe you should carefully consider switching things up this year. Dare to be different! I mean, who doesn’t look good in dazzling white?
I instantly fell in love with this Poetry ensamble the minute I laid my eager eyes on it. The high waisted wide leg pants are extremely flattering, they draw attention to the upper body while creating an illusion of elongated legs.
The three-quarter sleeved jacket fits perfectly, slightly oversized and well structured. The one thing that I genuinely love the most about it, is definitely its remarkable versatility. You can pair it with almost any elegant outfit because of its basic structure and colour.
It’s no secret that accessories can make or break your entire look. Accessories can turn a basic outfit into an impressive one. I paired this suit with white statement earrings, a tan clutch bag and a gold bracelet.
The Pleated Shimmer dress
I absolutely can’t get enough of this dress. It screams Hollywood Glam. It’s fun, flirty and super cute. A beautifully pleated dress is undoubtedly a staple item every woman should have in their wardrobe. This flowing dress is perfect for showing off your curves while staying classy.
I paired this pleated beauty with a statement neck piece to sufficiently complete this look.
Remember, there are no specific rules when it comes to style. How you carry yourself is undoubtedly all that really matters. Whatever you do, just don’t hold back. I sincerely hope that I have inspired you to put your best foot forward this New Year’s Eve.
Which one was your favorite look?
